Dear GCC Parents, Guardians & Students,
Christmas Wishes from all in Glanmire Community College
As we approach Christmas and year end, on behalf of everyone in our school community, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would like to thank both our GCC Parents Council and all our parents, who offer constant support to the school throughout the year. We would also like to acknowledge our GCC Board of Management for its active role in overseeing the effective operation of the school.
Special mention also to our great team of SNAs, office, cleaning and caretaking staff who work so diligently in the background for the betterment of our students. As always, a final thank you to our wonderful team of teachers in GCC for their commitment to providing quality education and fostering a positive learning environment. The willingness of so many of our teachers to go that extra mile for our students is testament to their selflessness and the quality of staff we are so lucky to have here in GCC.
As we all embark on a well-deserved break, we extend our warmest wishes to you and your families for a joyous and peaceful Christmas. We anticipate the many exciting opportunities and successes that the new year holds for GCC and our students and we look forward to welcoming everyone back when school re-opens on Monday 8 January 2024.
GCC Alumni
As part of our GCC Strategic Plan, one important agreed action was the development of a GCC Alumni. We are delighted to share with you via the link below the memories of our initial group of alumni consisting of twelve former GCC students who are now part of our GCC staff. Our thanks to Ms Caroline Fitzgerald for her work in getting our GCC Alumni group up and running. Caroline has also put together a Google Form (link below) to collect contact details from former students to create a database. This link has been shared via text through our historical database of GCC Leaving Cert graduates and there has been a strong flow of responses already back to the school.
