Dear GCC Parents & Guardians,

Glanmire Community College will open tomorrow morning Thursday 19 October at the later time of 10.55am. This is to afford everyone the opportunity to travel to school safely. At the time of writing we do not know if school buses will be running. In the event that buses do run in the morning, the school will provide supervision for students in the B Block Social area from 8.50am onwards.

Thank you all for your help in collecting our students today. We would also like to thank you again for your patience in what were very trying circumstances for all in our school community.

We are aware and understand that, depending on circumstances, some parents will be unable to send their child to school but a reminder to those who are attending to please take care on the roads and footpaths tomorrow when travelling to and from school. Please take every precaution to ensure you and your child can travel safely.

If there is a further deterioration in weather conditions and/or we are advised by Gardaí/Met Éireann/Cork ETB not to open the school we will notify parents by text before 8.30am tomorrow morning.
