Dear Parents & Students,
Back in April the school commenced an upgrade of our school CCTV system. This upgrade was necessary to replace old and ineffective cameras but also to provide a broader coverage across our large school campus. The final step in this upgrade process will be the installation of CCTV at our new school pitch development and accompanying walkway. In the context of GDPR regulations CCTV systems are considered ‘high risk’, therefore, a CCTV Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) must be carried out when procuring or installing CCTV systems and/or camera(s). As per the requirement of the DPIA we are now providing all members of our school community with an opportunity to view the proposed locations of the CCTV cameras on our campus and to feedback to the school before the system is finalised. Please click on the links below to view the locations of the cameras:

GCC has a dedicated email address to receive feed back from stakeholders on policy issues. Please email policyreview@glanmirecollege.com with any comments you might have regarding our CCTV upgrade. The closing date for submissions is next Tuesday 14 September at 1pm.
As part of the process the DPIA will be reviewed by Cork ETB’s Data Protection Officer. Information about the processing of personal data through CCTV is available in Cork ETB’s CCTV policy & Privacy Statement. Please click on the link to view:
