Dear Parents,
Johnson & Johnson (DepuySynthes)* Stem Academy with GCC TY students 3-D Printing Programme
Three members of Johnson & Johnson’s Engineering, Science & Technology Team are currently teaching a 6 week 3-D Printing Program to Ms McCormack’s TY Science group. This will allow students to have fun learning how to use a 3-D printer while also providing them with the skills and tools to enable them to peer teach our 2nd year students. This is also designed to raise interest and awareness of the STEM subjects while showcasing the range of exciting careers in STEM. It is envisaged that it will be an embedded sustainable program. This is a very positive engagement in STEM. Many thanks to Johnson & Johnson for the equipment, their time and of course the hoodies!
