Online Learning – Google Classroom

This morning at tutorials and as part of our whole school address we asked students to check that they are able to access all online classrooms for their various subjects. Every student has access to our Google Classroom platform via their @glanmirecollege.com email. The planned reopening of school after the Christmas break is Thursday 6 January, however, it is important that we are ready as a school community to switch to our online learning platform if required. Parents are asked to discuss this with their children and check that they are able to access their account.

Misneach
Congratulations to the following students who have been selected as student representatives for our Misneach Team. Misneach is a Glanmire Community College initiative aimed at promoting an integrative school community that celebrates, supports and challenges all groups within our school. We look forward to our staff and students working together to create a more inclusive school environment.

Some Christmas Spirit

To get the Christmas spirit started as the school holidays are approaching, one of our 3rd year students Michael O’ Callahan, R. Dara has recorded 2 lovely Christmas songs for you all to enjoy below. Many thanks to our school chaplain Ms Mc Inerney for facilitating this.

SVP Hampers and Donations from Christmas Themed Day

We would like to thank all of our students and staff members who contributed so generously to the SVP appeal this year. A total of 28 food hampers were delivered to the SVP depot and €464.60 was raised from our Christmas-themed day. These donations will make a real difference to families who find this time of year difficult. Thank you.

GCC Ladies Football

Well done to our junior ladies football team who had a great win over Kinsale Community School on Friday last week and also well done to our first year ladies football team, who played their first game against our neighbours Colaiste an Phiarsaigh last week. Thank you to Ms. Nagle and Ms. O Sullivan for all the coaching and organising while arranging these games outside of school time in extra challenging times.
