Leaving Certificate Results 2021
We would like to congratulate our 2021 Leaving Certificate students on their outstanding results received today. We are very proud of their achievements. A detailed analysis of our results will be conducted once we collate the data but the initial indications are that the overall set of results is the best we have ever had in the school. A sincere thank you to our parents, teachers and all who have supported our students during their Senior Cycle programme. COVID-19
Thank you for your cooperation over the last 18 months with our COVID-19 protocols. As we approach the ending of restrictions it is important we continue to implement the key steps over the coming weeks to prevent members of our school community becoming infected. These include:
- social distancing
- use of face masks
- hand hygiene
- minimising social contacts
Parents are asked to ensure that students do not attend school if they have any symptoms of Covid-19 infection.
1st Year Vaccinations (HPV, Tdap & MenACWY)

All first years were issued with HSE information packs today on the secondary school vaccination programme. Parents are asked to please complete the consent form and return to school on Monday.

School Canteen
Further to our update on Wednesday 1 September smart fobs will be distributed to our 1st Year students early next week to enable them to make online purchases from the school canteen. Please click on the link below to view information on the system and details on how to activate the fob. When logging onto the system a reminder to ensure that you have ticked GCC as your school.
It was great to have the school fully up and running today with all staff and students present. We look forward to next week as the programmes of work for the new school year begin in earnest. We hope you have a nice weekend.
