GCC TY Ski Trip 2024 Application Form

Glanmire Community College is planning to organize a Transition Year Ski Trip to Austria or Italy in January/ February 2024. Please click on the following link to see details of cost and how to apply.

Application form Ski Trip 2024

Parents of our current 3rd Year students are asked to please note the following:

  • There are a limited amount of places and if your application is successful then two non-refundable deposits are required to confirm your place.
  • We are not able to book a place on the ski trips we organise for any student that has not paid two deposits in full.
  • The school is conscious of the considerable cost to parents of school trips. Students who travel on the Ski trip in January/February will not be permitted to travel on our main TY trip (normally to a European Capital) later in the school year.

GCC French Exchange

We would like to welcome back our 5th Year French Exchange group from Paris. Many thanks to our teachers Ms. Murphy and Mr. Leahy for accompanying the students on this trip. Thanks also to Ms. Casey for organising and leading the exchange. We look forward to welcoming the staff and students from L’Ecole Massillon in Paris to GCC after the Easter break.

GCC School Musical

A reminder that this year’s GCC TY school musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is taking place next Thursday 26 and Friday 27 January 2023. Following its absence since January 2020, we are delighted to welcome back our annual school musical live performance. On behalf of all our parents, staff and students we would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with the school musical the very best with the production. As preparations build for the opening night, we wish all involved well for what is one of the main highlights of our school calendar. Tickets are now on sale at €10 each.

GCC Lunchtime Club

Thank you to the Meitheal Team for organizing lunchtime club for our first-year students.

To achieve this, the Department has asked schools to share the information about the public consultation and the link to the survey with our school communities.
