UCC Quercus Entrance Scholarship
Congratulations to GCC student Sinead Mulcaire who has been awarded the UCC Quercus Entrance Scholarship [College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences] for the 2022/2023 academic year. Sinead graduated from GCC in June 2022 and achieved over 600 points in the Leaving Certificate.
Pre Exams 2023 Timetable
The exam timetable for the 2023 Pre Examinations is currently being finalised and will be shared with students and parents next Friday 13 January. The senior exams start on Monday 30 January with the junior exams beginning on Wednesday 1 February.
GCC School Musical
We are delighted to announce that this year’s GCC TY school musical ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is taking place on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 January 2023. This is our first live school musical since Covid. Students will be continuing rehearsals between now and the opening night then and we look forward to the singing, dancing, fun and laughter the the musical always brings to our school.

2023 Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied and Junior Cycle Examinations
The State Exams Commission (SEC) wish to advise that the timetables for the 2023 Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied and Junior Cycle examinations have been published on www.examinations.ie. The suite of timetables can be accessed under the Examinations 2023 Banner on the home page. Further Information in relation to the arrangements for the 2023 examinations will issue in early January.
