Dear Parents/Guardian & Students,

Met Éireann has issued a Red Storm warning for Cork which will be in effect from 3am tonight until 8am tomorrow morning. In addition there is an Orange Storm warning in place for Cork between 8am and 11am tomorrow morning. The National Emergency Coordination Group began its meeting at midday today and a decision has just now been taken at that meeting regarding the opening of schools and other centres of learning.

All Cork ETB schools, colleges and other centres will close tomorrow for in-person teaching, learning and other services. Where circumstances allow, we have asked our teachers to make every reasonable effort to engage with learners to facilitate remote learning. We are asking students to connect with teachers, where possible, through Google Classroom at their normal timetabled class times.

Please note updates will be provided as necessary via the school website and school text messaging system.

We would like to echo the advice of Cork ETB and urge you all to stay safe and follow appropriate guidance.
