Dear Parents/Guardian & Students,

As you will be aware, Met Eireann has issued a Status Red Wind Warning for Cork, commencing at 6am on Tuesday until 9pm on Tuesday, with a warning of dangerous weather conditions.

In light of the above advice, Cork ETB’s Executive has taken the decision that all schools, colleges and centres should move to online learning/remote working for tomorrow Tuesday 7 December with all staff working remotely.  As in all red warning situations the focus in on staying safe and to follow guidance as issued by Met Eireann.

Where circumstances allow, we have asked our teachers to make every reasonable effort to engage with learners. This may be as simple as posting work for students online or if power is available, teachers might prioritise a fuller engagement (for example) with 6th Year students. We are asking students to connect with teachers, where possible, through Google Classroom at their normal timetabled class times.

Please note updates will be provided as necessary via the school website and school text messaging system.

We would like to echo the advice of Cork ETB and urge you all to stay safe and follow appropriate guidance.
